The 2024-2025 STAAR results have been released and we are proud to share that Brown MS earned an
A rating with all 7 Distinctions!!! McAllen ISD was also announced to be an A rated district!

The McAllen ISD 2026 Bond provides funding for districtwide improvements that support modern learning environments, improve safety and security, address enrollment growth, and maintain essential building systems across campuses.

Test Reminders:
✔ Eat a good breakfast
✔ Bring a fully charged Chromebook
✔ Only water and small snacks allowed during testing
✔ Students may bring their own lunch as usual (no food drop-offs allowed)
✔ Students who leave early will not be allowed to finish the exam

We have amazing teachers at Brown MS! They are so deserving of these designations. With this year's awards, the entire Math department at Brown MS has been named a TIA Designated Teacher! 27 teachers at Brown MS now have a TIA Designation!

📚✨ STAAR RLA Field Test Alert! ✨📚

Our Dobermans in 6th & 7th grade will be taking the STAAR RLA Field Test on Wednesday, February 4th 🐾✍️

Dorothea Brown Middle School has been selected as one of 17 finalist schools nationwide for the 2026 America’s Best Schools Award. Among thousands of schools across the United States, only 26 schools met NCUST’s rigorous award criteria and were named to the Honor Roll. From those 26 Honor Roll schools, 17 were selected as finalists—a truly monumental achievement.#DobermanDominance!
